Studies on Attention & Space
Improvisational scores created in collaboration with Maxine Chadburn, Christoph Von Reidmann, Andrea Cownden, Stephanie Cyr and Robert Abubo
This work is an exploration based on the philosophical/lyric text, “Wisdom and Metaphor”, by Jan Zwicky. Together we focus on imagination and attention as we work through our bodies’ experiences in relation to space and certain concepts such as beauty, understanding and time. Doing these scores has acted on us in a connective way; we’ve found a tethering of ourselves to that which surrounds us (objects, space, other humans, memories, situations, etc.) compelling a sense of empathy and relation to the world around us.
